AN ALUMNUS of the University of the Philippines Visayas will represent a party-list group in the 19th Congress.

Atty. Lex Colada, a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Community Development, will sit as the representative of the AAMBIS-OWA party-list.

He will replace Deputy Speaker Sharon Garin, who is also an alumna of UPV. Garin will complete her three-year term in June.

Representatives of winning party-list groups will assume office on June 30, 2022.

Colada was the president of the ILECO 1 Board of Directors from 2010 to 2017.

ILECO 1 was declared the Most Outstanding Electric Cooperative of the Philippines from 2012 to 2016 with him at the helm. Colada is also a farmer and game fowl breeder.
