UPSILON SIGMA PHI PARTNERS WITH RED CROSS FOR STUDENTS VACCINATION

/ 29 November 2021

AS PART of the preparation for the resumption of face-to-face classes, the  Upsilon Sigma Phi fraternity partnered with the Philippine Red Cross to vaccinate 300 students from the University of the Philippines Manila.

The fraternity, the oldest student organization in the UP system, aims to create awareness on the importance of vaccination and promote a safe university environment should in-person classes begin again.

Upsilon, the Red Cross and UP Manila Office of Student affairs coordinated for the vaccination of students.

PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Richard ‘Dick’ Gordon, also a UP alumnus and an Upsilon Sigma Phi member, welcomed the partnership.

“I am very glad for this initiative by Upsilon Sigma Phi to promote a safe return of face-to-face classes in UP Manila.  We must ensure that the University is a haven for students,” Gordon said.
