UPLB GRADUATE TOPS VETERINARIAN LICENSURE EXAM

A GRADUATE of the University of the Philippines-Los Baños topped the Veterinarian Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission last month.

Mark Lawrence Gutierrez Atienza led the successful examinees with a rating of 85.92 percent.

He was followed by Jose Eldon Dela Cruz Sumeldan of the Central Luzon State University who got 84.76 percent and Stephen Cyril Manuel Pineda of UPLB with 84.44 percent.

Jonathan Madriaga Bulagsak from Tarlac Agricultural University placed fourth with 84.36 percent, while Lia Isabella Tenmatay Soliman of UPLB came in fifth with 83.32 percent.

The PRC said 288 out of 607 examinees passed the exam given by the Board of Veterinary Medicine in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi and Tuguegarao.

The best performing school was UPLB, with 57 of its 60 takers passing the exam for a success rate of 95%.

Successful examinees were advised to register online with PRC on April 29 and May 2 for the professional identification card and certificate of registration.

However, the signing in the Roster of Registered Professionals is to be done personally.
