UP INKS PARTNERSHIP WITH CANADA UNIVERSITY
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines has formalized a partnership with the University of New Brunswick to foster collaboration among faculty, staff, departments, and research institutions.
UP President Angelo Jimenez and UNB President Paul Mazerolle signed the Memorandum of Understanding on November 26.
Other members of the UNB delegation included Dr. Michel Rod, vice-provost for strategic enrollment; Lloyd Henderson, associate vice president for student recruitment and enrollment; Dominic Blakely, senior advisor to the president; and Dr. Clodualdo Aranas, director of the Alloy Design and Materials Testing Research Laboratory at UNB’s Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Aranas, a Department of Science and Technology Balik Scientist, is currently based at UP Diliman.
“The MOU outlines areas for potential collaboration, including faculty and scholar exchanges, information sharing, joint research initiatives, joint supervision of research, and co-hosted conferences or symposia. Any specific projects resulting from the MOU will be subject to separate agreements,” UP stated.
