UNVACCINATED teachers will not be allowed to enter schools unless they present a negative Covid19 antigen test result, the Department of Education said.

DepEd Undersecretary Wilfredo Cabral said that only vaccinated teachers are allowed to interact with students during face-to-face classes.

Cabral said that unvaccinated teachers will have different work arrangements.

“Inatasan din po ang lahat ng regional directors na mag-implementa ng karampatang work arrangement sa kani-kanilang mga jurisdiction or area of responsibility base sa umiiral na alert level sa kanilang lokalidad,” he said.

Meanwhile, Education Secretary Leonor Briones encouraged DepEd personnel to get vaccinated against Covid19.

“Kung ayaw nila, they don’t have to kasi voluntary naman iyong vaccination. But if they go to school, and we have said that time and again, kailangan magpakita sila ng result ng RT-PCR or antigen (for teachers and school personnel). Para we also protect naman those who are vaccinated,” she said.
