UNIVERSITY OF ASIA AND THE PACIFIC TO CONTINUE IMPLEMENTING REMOTE LEARNING

/ 4 November 2021

FOR safety reasons, the University of Asia and the Pacific will continue to implement distance learning for the second semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.

The UA&P Management Committee said the move aims to prevent learners and teachers from getting infected with Covid19.

“The decision was made bearing in mind the safety and well-being of everyone amid the developments in the country’s efforts to control the pandemic, as well as the guidelines issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Commission on Higher Education,” it said in a statement.

However, the school said that preparations are being made to pilot at least two classes in January 2022 — a hybrid mode and remote learning setup with limited physical classes.

The details of the implementation will be made available “in the event that it is deemed feasible and advisable.”

“UA&P takes this opportunity to continue improving online course delivery even as the University made great headway since the pandemic started,” the university said.

“The pilot classes shall serve to help prepare for the suitable instructional delivery that will be made available as the country steadily progresses towards the post-pandemic period,” it added.
