SOCIAL Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo said he will help children get compensation from neglectful fathers.

Tulfo said that his department is willing to assist mothers who are having problems getting child support from the father of their children.

Neglectful fathers can be sued based on the provision of the Family Code of the Philippines which states that parents are mandated to support their children until they reach the age of 18.

He added that he will ask the help of the Public Attorney’s Office or the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in filing cases.

Tulfo tackled such domestic problems when he hosted his radio show “Tutok Erwin Tulfo.”
