THERE’S NOTHING WRONG IN CHED ORDER TO DISSOLVE SHS PROGRAM IN SUCs AND LUCs — SENATOR
SENATE Minority Leader Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel III said there’s nothing wrong with the order of the Commission on Higher Education on the dissolution of Senior High School Programs in State and Local Universities and Colleges.
SENATE Minority Leader Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel III said there’s nothing wrong with the order of the Commission on Higher Education on the dissolution of Senior High School Programs in State and Local Universities and Colleges.
Pimentel explained that SUCs and LUCs accepted senior high school students as a form of accommodation while in transition for the K to 12 program.’
“Ang pagkakaintindi ko diyan, itong senior high school program nila parang accommodation iyan because of the transition,” Pimentel said in a press briefing with the Senate media.
But Pimentel is asking CHED to assure that their order will not deprive any student access to education.
“Kaya tama lang na i-phase out na ‘yun. I-inventory nila kung may maapektuhan o wala,” he said.
“That’s it pero tama naman kasi ang mandato ng SUCs at LUCs at post-senior high school, higher education na. In the spirit na wala rin sanang maapektuhan,” the senator further explained.
