TESDA TO HOLD NATIONAL TVET FORUM

/ 5 July 2025

THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will hold its 7th National Quality Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Forum at the Hilton Manila Hotel in Pasay City on July 8.

With the theme “Empower, Innovate, Transform: Cultivating the Growth Mindset in TVET for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” the forum aims to strengthen the TVET Quality Management System in the country and align it continuously with international quality assurance standards.

The event will also serve as a platform to introduce and reinforce globally recognized standards in the implementation of technical-vocational education and training in the Philippines.

This initiative is in line with the directives of TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez to equip Filipino learners with the technical knowledge and adaptive mindset needed to thrive in rapidly changing work environments.

“A growth mindset is the cornerstone of success in an uncertain future. It encourages learners to see challenges as opportunities, to embrace continuous learning, and to develop resilience through effort and perseverance,” said the TESDA chief.

The forum will feature panel discussions on topics such as aligning TVET programs with industry demands, bridging the skills gap, empowering trainers, upskilling and reskilling for the future of work, and integrating green and digital skills in TVET.

Highlights also include the conferment of the TESDA System for TVET Accreditation and Recognition (STAR) Award and the TESDA Seal of Integrity.

The STAR Award recognizes training programs that have exceeded the agency’s minimum registration standards, while the Seal of Integrity is granted to assessment centers that consistently uphold TESDA’s operating procedures and quality management principles.

Representatives from relevant government agencies, industry and TVET associations, as well as administrators of public and private institutions, are expected to attend the forum.
