TESDA TO BARE CANDIDATES FOR NATIONAL TAGSANAY AWARD
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority has started the selection process for the 2020 Tagsanay Award which honors tech-voc trainers who excelled in the performance of their duty.
A total of 11 technical vocational education and training (TVET) trainers from public and private institu-tions in Regions I, II, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, XI, the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao complete this year’s list of candidates.
The regional winners went through a stringent selection and elimination process.
After a series of online activities and interviews, the top eight candidates will be announced on October 1, while the National Tagsanay Award Champion is expected to be announced on October 5.
The candidate who will be named as the National Tagsanay Award Champion will receive P25,000. The first runner up will get P20,000 while the 2nd runner up will receive P15,000. Those who will be named as Top Eight Trainers will take home P5,000 each.
Other special awards include Best Trainer’s Portfolio, Best Trainer in Written Exam, Best Trainer in Online Panel Interview, Best Trainer in Enhancement of Training Package, National Tagsanay Overall Winner’s Institution, 1st Runner-up’s Institution, and 2nd Runner up’s Institution.
Held annually since 2015 as one of TESDA’s institutional awards, the Tagsanay Award gives recognition and incentives to tech-voc trainers who have exceeded the set requirements and have demonstrated competencies beyond expectations. It is the agency’s way of valuing the achievements and excellent performance of tech-voc trainers nationwide.
The agency’s National Technical-Vocational Education and Training Trainers Academy is hosting this year’s Tagsanay Award.
