TESDA HONORS FVR
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority honored former president Fidel V. Ramos for his contributions in strengthening the technical vocational education and training sector.
“We are always grateful to the late President Ramos for his initiatives in the TVET sector and we are one with the Filipino nation in remembering his legacy as one of the leaders of this country,” TESDA said.
“May you rest in peace, President Ramos! Thank you for your service,” it added.
TESDA was established through the enactment of Republic Act 7796 otherwise known as the Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994, which was signed into law by Ramos on August 25, 1994.
The TESDA Law intends to promote complete engagement and mobilization of business, labor, local government entities, and institutions of higher learning in the country’s human resource development.
