TESDA GETS HIGH APPROVAL AND TRUST RATINGS IN PUBLiCUS SURVEY
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority got high approval and trust ratings in the third quarter survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia.
The third quarter publication of the PAHAYAG survey of PUBLiCUS Asia showed that TESDA got the second highest approval rating of 62.7 percent, behind the Armed Forces of the Philippines with 66.7 percent.
TESDA was followed by the Philippine Air Force with 58.2 percent approval rating.
The agency was the second most trusted agency with a 42.7 percent trust rating. The AFP and PAF ranked first and third — 49 percent and 41 percent, respectively.
The survey was conducted nationwide on October 11 to 18, 2021. It covered 1,500 respondents.
In the first quarter publication of PAHAYAG survey in April, TESDA ranked first among government agencies in approval rating with 62.1 percent. It got the second highest trust rating — 42.8 percent.
In the second quarter publication of PAHAYAG survey, TESDA ranked second in both approval and trust rating with 65 percent and 45 percent respectively.
TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña attributed the high approval and trust ratings of the agency to its programs and commitment to reskill and upskill Filipinos amid the pandemic.
