TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority Director General Suharto Mangudadatu encouraged TESDA Technical Institutions to innovate and reinvent their programs.

“As TESDA administrators, please take the lead in reinventing and restyling your institution’s programs, systems, and mechanisms through innovation in [technical vocational education and training],” he said.

The Administrators’ Conference, which was conducted last June 26-27 at the TESDA Auditorium, is a regular activity for the TTI administrators that serves as a venue to disseminate policies, programs, and plans, resolve operating issues and concerns, and share best practices.

It was conducted with the theme “Revitalizing TVET Programs, Services, and Delivery.”

Among the topics discussed were the functions and programs of TTIs, updates on the Philippine TVET Trainer’s Qualification Framework, Diploma Programs, and accomplishments of TTIs based on targets, scholarship programs, and concerns on financial and administrative matters, among others.

“Tech-voc is not just about acquiring skills and competencies, it is about improving the economic and social standing of the Filipino workforce,” Mangudadatu said.

The PDP 2023-2023 aims to reinvigorate job creation and accelerate poverty reduction by improving the economy.
