NAIS ni ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Eric Yap na magkaroon ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Training and Assesement Centers sa 13 munisipalidad ng lalawigan ng Benguet.

Sa pagsusulong ng House Bill 6851, inirekomenda ni Yap ang pagtatayo ng TESDA Center sa mga munisipalidad ng Atok, Bakun, Bokod, Buguias, Itogon, Kabayan, Kapangan, Kibungan, La Trinidad, Mankayan, Sablan, Tuba at Tublay.

“These training centers shall provide technical and vocational training skills development programs to low-income families, out-of-school youth, people with disabilities, and indigenous people residing in the Province of Benguet and in the rest of the neighboring localities in the Cordillera,” pahayag ni Yap sa kanyang explanatory note.

Sinabi ng kongresista na sa pamamagitan ng pagtatayo ng TESDA Center sa bawat munisipalidad, mas maraming indibidwal ang mabibigyan ng practical knowledge at technical expertise.

“With their enhanced capacities, they build up their communities to be more efficient and progressive,” diin ng mambabatas.

Alinsunod sa panukala, magiging katuwang ng TESDA sa pagpapatupad ng programa sa bawat munisipalidad ang mga local government unit.

Magtatayo rin ang bawat center ng research and technology hubs, technology development farms, satellite o extension training center at magpo-promote ng mobile training programs.

Layon nito na mapalakas ang ugnayan sa industry partners at academe para sa practical livelihood, employable skills, gainful employment at entrepreneuship sa mga priority area.
