TESDA AMONG MOST TRUSTED GOV’T AGENCIES — SURVEY
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority remains one of the most trusted government agencies, a survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia said.
In the 2022 first quarter PAHAYAG survey, TESDA gained 49.9 percent trust rating, higher than its 46.1 percent trust rating in the PAHAYAG Fourth Quarter Survey in December 2021.
TESDA ranked second, behind the Armed Forces of the Philippines which had a trust rating of 53.4 percent. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas placed third with 45.9 percent.
TESDA also placed second in approval rating with 65.8 percent, also behind AFP with 67.4 percent.
The survey was conducted nationwide from March 30 to April 6, 2022 with 1,500 respondents.
TESDA Director General Isidro Lapeña attributed the agency’s high trust and approval rating to its programs and continuous provision of skills training and livelihood to Filipinos especially to displaced workers, repatriated overseas Filipino workers, indigenous people, former rebels, among others.
“It is an honor to be, once again, among the most trusted government agencies. It gives us more reason to continue serving and reaching out to our kababayans, as embodied in our guiding principle, ‘Tesda Abot Lahat’” Lapeña said.
He thanked Filipinos for their support and vowed to continue improving its services.
“TESDA is here to provide skills training and retooling which are vital to post pandemic economic recovery,” Lapeña said.
