/ 6 December 2021

TO PREPARE for the conduct of limited face-to-face classes, teachers and non-teaching personnel in two public schools in Quezon City underwent Covid19 antigen test on Saturday, October 4.

The Bagong Silangan Elementary School and Payatas B Annex Elementary School were included in the 28 Metro Manila schools allowed to resume physical classes.

Kris Navales, Quezon City Public School Teachers Association president, said the Covid19 tests aim to ensure that everyone involved in the face-to-face classes starting December 6 are free of the disease.

Belmonte said that the two schools are ready to hold in-person classes.

“We are happy that two of our public schools will have pilot face-to-face classes. We assure parents that their children, and also the teachers, will be safe in their return,” Belmonte said.

Meanwhile, Navales called on the government to ensure the safe reopening of classes.
