DAPAT na magsilbing ‘eye opener’ sa Department of Education at Commission on Higher Education ang mga kaso ng pagpasok ng mga estudyante sa online sex trade.

Ito ang binigyang-diin ni c bilang reaksyon sa ulat ng The POST hinggil sa ‘Christmas Sale’ ng mga estudyante para makaipon ng pambayad ng tuition at iba pang gastusin sa pag-aaral.

“That is so worrisome and alarming. This should make CHED and DepED open their eyes to the case of this activity by the students,” pahayag ni Castro sa The POST.

Idinagdag pa ng kongresista na resulta rin ito ng hindi maayos na paghahanda ng gobyerno sa ipinatutupad na bagong sistema ng pag-aaral.

“This is also the result of ill-prepared mode of learning, distance/blended learning. Most students complain of not having gadgets or means to have one,” diin pa ng kongresista.

Kasabay nito, hinikayat ni Castro ang mga awtoridad na maging alerto sa mga ganitong uri ng kaso.

“This should remind proper authorities like DOJ, NBI to be vigilant and do their job in hunting perpetrators of cyber sex crime. Do concrete action to control sites or apps that are being used by the students. Students are all victims,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas.
