THE DEPARTMENT of Education wants teachers to ensure that students will be productive during limited face-to-face classes.

“We have to ensure that learners are on-task and that every moment we spend with them is productive. We have to be patient and considerate of our learners because their well-being is as important as the efforts we exert to foster their cognitive development,” Education Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction Diosdado San Antonio said.

The pilot run of limited F2F classes will start on November 15 in 100 public schools.

San Antonio said that teachers should ensure a safe environment for students while they are in school.

Teachers gained an understanding of the operational dynamics and interactions between distance learning and face-to-face classes after participating in sessions on developing a learning progress checklist, incorporating considerations for inclusivity, developing weekly home learning plans, and comprehending the blended learning process.
