KABATAAN Partylist Rep. Sarah Jane Elago wants the Department of Health and the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19 to include students in the vaccination priority list.

She appealed to her colleagues to express the sense of the House of Representatives in calling for the inoculation of students.

Elago filed a resolution that aims to ensure the safe and gradual resumption of classes and in-person campus activities.

She said that other countries have either changed or reviewed their policies on the inoculation of students to facilitate the resumption of face-to-face classes.

Elago in her resolution said that alternative modes of learning have been the norm since the onset of Covid19 pandemic but not all students benefit from it.

“Distance learning has still been inaccessible to many Filipino students and has affected their physical and mental health,” the lawmaker said.

Elago also sought an investigation in aid of legislation of the vaccination rollout of the government.
