STUDENTS ATTEND F2F CLASSES MORE THAN TWO YEARS SINCE THE PANDEMIC

/ 16 August 2022

SEVERAL universities on Monday welcomed students more than two years since the Covid19 pandemic disrupted face-to-face classes.

The University of the East Caloocan opened its doors to more students as it expanded the conduct of in-person classes to several degree programs.

Only fully vaccinated learners were allowed to attend classes in school.

Those who have not been fully vaccinated were asked to take the courses remotely.

Meanwhile, students of the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Senior High School formally started Academic Year 2022-2023 with the holding of physical classes.

The Department of Education allowed Grade 11 and Grade 12 students from ABM, STEM and TVL tracks to attend physical classes for select subjects.

Students of Batangas State University-Alangilan were also back on campus after two years of distance learning.

A report by the BatStateU’s school publication said several programs under the College of Engineering, College of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design, College of Information Technology and College of Informatics and Computing Sciences established their booths with their own gimmicks to present a fun and interactive environment for their fellow students.

The university will implement hybrid learning setup where there will be limited in-person classes on select courses in different year levels.

The Commission on Higher Education earlier said that a flexible learning setup will be retained for tertiary education.

However, CHED expects an increase in the number of universities conducting in-person learning beginning August.
