ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro will ask for an investigation on the dissolution of Senior High School Program in state universities and colleges and local universities and colleges.
Castro, in a Viber message to The POST, warned that the memorandum of Commission on Higher Education will have a negative impact to the learning community.
“Isang nakababahalang move iyan ng DepEd at CHED not considering ‘yung maapektuhang students and teachers and parents. Wala man lang consultations,” Castro said.
“Mapipilitang magbayad ang parents o i-enroll mga bata s(a) private schools n(a) may bayad din o m(a)kipagsiksikan sa mga congested schools sa public,” she added.
Castro further said that they will file a House Resolution calling for an inquiry in aid of legislation on the said issue.
“Mag-file kmi HR para maimbestigahan ito at malaman ang aktwal na maapektuhan and to come up with a solution to the problems,” she explained.
“Finally, students would be deprive of access to quality basic education,” she further said.
