SOLON SEEKS PROBE OF PROCUREMENT OF PRICEY LAPTOPS
ACT TEACHERS Party-list Representative France Castro urged the House of Representatives to hear her resolution that calls for an investigation of the procurement of overpriced outdated laptops for teachers by the Department of Education through the Department of Budget and Management – Procurement Service.
Following the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on the overpriced laptops, the lawmaker said that the House should not turn a blind eye on this anomalous purchase that affected thousands of public school teachers.
Castro confirmed that they filed House Bill 3270 that seeks to abolish the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management.
“We urge the House of Representatives to act on these measures and show our teachers that their calls are heard,” she said.
