SOLON SEEKS EXPANSION OF TESDA PROGRAMS
BOHOL 3rd District Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor filed a measure that seeks to establish a Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Municipal Training Center in Candijay, Bohol.
House Bill 10427 will expand the coverage of TESDA programs by creating a training center in Candijay.
“The creation of a training center will ensure the provision of relevant, accessible high quality and efficient technical education and skills development to their local population,” Tutor said in her explanatory note.
The TESDA Municipal Training Center shall also serve as municipal competency assessment center for required competencies in technical-vocational skills in Candijay.
The training center, in coordination with the Department of Education, shall render teachers’ capability building programs and curriculum design technical assistance to secondary schools offering technical-vocational and livelihood track under the K to 12 Program.
