SOLON PUSHES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF 24/7 LEARNING HUBS FOR STUDENTS
PARAÑAQUE 2nd District Rep. Brian Yamsuan has filed a measure seeking to establish 24/7 learning hubs that will provide students with free and accessible spaces to study, particularly benefiting working students.
Under House Bill No. 6601, or the proposed Late Night Learning Hubs Act, Yamsuan is pushing for the creation of free study hubs equipped with proper facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi to help students focus on their academic work.
In an interview with DZME Radyo TV, Yamsuan said the program aims to offer safe and conducive learning environments where students can study effectively at any time of the day.
The lawmaker emphasized that the proposed hubs would serve as an alternative to expensive coffee shops, which many students currently rely on for internet access and quiet study spaces.
Yamsuan added that through coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, surveillance systems will be installed in the hubs to ensure the safety and security of students using the facilities.
