SOLON PROMOTES INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

/ 29 April 2025

IN AN EFFORT to support public school students, Quezon City Fourth District Representative Marvin Rillo has been actively distributing free school supplies, including uniforms, bags, and shoes, to elementary and high school learners in his district.

“By providing children with free uniforms, bags, and shoes, we’re fostering classrooms where everyone feels valued and dignified,” Rillo said, emphasizing the importance of an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Rillo, a strong advocate for greater access to education, also authored Republic Act No. 11984, which prohibits the “no permit, no exam” policy in all educational institutions.

The landmark law ensures that students can take their exams, even if they have unpaid tuition or other school fees.

Rillo’s initiatives reflect his broader commitment to making education more accessible and equitable for Filipino youth.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education has announced that the school year 2025–2026 will begin on June 16, 2025, and conclude on March 31, 2026.
