SOLON BATS FOR NATIONAL TUTORING PROGRAM

/ 7 October 2024

MUNTINLUPA City Rep. Jaime Fresnedi is advocating for the establishment of a National Tutoring Program through his House Bill 10898, or the proposed National Tutoring Act.

Fresnedi aims to address the learning gaps and losses that continue to affect the public education sector. He believes this initiative will improve literacy and numeracy rates among basic education learners, while also providing short-term employment for financially struggling college students.

Fresnedi expressed concern over the reported learning poverty in the country.

“As we continue to address the learning crisis in our country, it is imperative that we establish programs that cater to the needs of our learners,” he said.

“With the creation of this national tutoring program, we envision a future where the quality of education is improved and the socio-economic needs of students are supported,” Fresnedi added.
