SEVERAL students, particularly first-time voters, expressed dismay with the results of the election after their chosen candidates suffered resounding defeat.

Unofficial tally showed the tandem of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte winning by massive margins over other presidential and vice presidential candidates.

The students sulked after Marcos edged out Vice President Leni Robredo by more than 15 million votes.

Some said that they could not focus after being dealt their first election loss.

Some students held a protest rally in front of  the Commission on Elections office in Intramuros, Manila.

Hundreds of students held a program and marched from Intramuros to Bantayog ng mga Bayani in Quezon City.
