SENATORS GIVE STARTUP KITS TO 50 SCHOLARS
AROUND 50 scholars from Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro received assistance from the Office of Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano.
The scholars were given toolkits by the office of the Cayetanos upon completion of their Technical Education and Skills Development Authority training, taking up the Driving course under National Certification Level II (NC II).
The distribution of toolkits was facilitated in coordination with Calapan City Mayor Marilou Morillo, Infinity Technical Vocational School Inc. (ITVSI) President Hazelle Morillo, and TESDA Oriental Mindoro Provincial Director Ben-Hur Baniqued.
Continuing to deliver direct assistance to local governments and marginalized communities, the Cayetanos remain committed to improving the lives of every Filipino by offering livelihood opportunities and supporting their daily needs, particularly those in remote areas who need it the most.
Aside from the scholars, almost 2,000 beneficiaries received livelihood assistance
The distribution chimed to ease the challenges the province is facing like the African Swine Fever outbreak, MT Princess Empress oil spill, and the severe drought brought by El Niño which prompted the provincial government to place some areas under a state of calamity.
