SENATOR TO TESDA: PRODUCE SOLAR LIGHT FOR TYPHOON-HIT AREAS
SENATOR Joel Villanueva urged the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to look into the possibility of providing solar light for areas devastated by Typhoon Odette.
The former TESDA chief said that solar panels can be distributed to communities without stable supply of electricity.
TESDA’s Solar Night Light Assembly should be able to help typhoon victims light up their homes while restoration work continues.
The Solar Night Light Assembly covers knowledge and skills needed to assemble, test, and troubleshoot solar night lamps.
This material can also be used to deepen one’s understanding of the process and the system used for turning solar energy into consumable energy using solar-powered generation technology.
Villanueva also asked government agencies to contribute to efforts to rebuild communities by sharing construction materials, among other needs.
