SENATOR Nancy Binay stressed that reverting to the previous school calendar should be studied carefully.

The senator said any decision to be made on the school calendar should be Science-based.

“Siguro baka mas maigi pag-aralan muna nating maigi kasi kaya inusog kasi laging naka-cancel ang klase dahil sa bagyo,” Binay explained.

The senator said there should now be a permanent decision on the school calendar and should not be changed after a few years.

“Maganda pag-aralan ano advantage at disadvantage, hindi pwedeng after a few years balik na naman, baka after three years sabihin na naman di pala okay na ibalik (yung dati),” she added.

“Baka may implication din, kung nakaka-absorb ba ang mga estudyante kapag ganitong panahon. Naiintindihan ko naman na talagang mainit lalo na may El Nino. Baka ang school building dapat dinesign na maganda ang ventilation,” Binay futher explained.

The lawmaker also stressed that the government should study the design of every school building for the comfort and convenience of each student.
