SENATOR PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO PANGASINAN STUDENTS
SENATOR Christopher ‘Bong’ Go has extended scholarship support to several students at Pangasinan State University, a significant institution for aspiring educators, helping many students pursue their dreams.
These scholarships, provided through the Tulong Dunong Program, offer financial assistance to deserving students and have become a crucial support system for many as they navigate the challenges of higher education.
Among the beneficiaries are future teachers who share a common goal: to make a meaningful impact on Filipino youth.
One such scholar is Ken Andre Garcia, a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education student. With a vision to inspire and cultivate scientific literacy among young minds, Ken sees the TDP as an indispensable part of his journey.
“My dream is to become a teacher… to inspire the youth po, specifically to educate the students to become scientifically literate. To Senator Bong Go, maraming salamat po for your support dito sa TDP program. Thank you po,” he expressed.
Jordan Dela Carcel, also from PSU Bayambang Campus, shares a similar vision but draws strength from the hardships he has faced.
“Kahit na gaano man kahirap ‘yung buhay, kailangan natin mag-strive to succeed,” he said.
Another scholar, Althea Espiritu, spoke about how the assistance has lifted a significant burden from her and her family.
“Napili ko po ang pagiging isang guro dahil gusto ko po na matulungan ‘yung parents ko at gusto ko po talaga na makapagturo po ng mga bata,” Althea shared.
For Go, programs like the TDP aim to empower young Filipinos to reach their potential and contribute to nation-building.
“Hinding-hindi ko po sasayangin ang pagkakataong ibinigay niyo po sa akin. Sisiguraduhin kong magagamit ko ito upang maglingkod sa kabataang Pilipino at isulong ang mga oportunidad gamit ang edukasyon para sa kanilang kinabukasan,” said Go.
