SENATOR HONORS RETIRED EDUCATORS

/ 11 October 2024

SENATOR Christopher ‘Bong’ Go expressed his gratitude to retired educators, acknowledging their lifetime of service in shaping countless Filipino students.

Go made the statement during his speech at the 3rd National Convention of the Philippine Alliance of Retired Educators (PARE), which was attended by over 500 retired educators.

Held in line with World Teachers’ Month, the event underscored the importance of celebrating educators’ contributions.

Go said, paying tribute to their dedication and hard work.

Go also highlighted key legislative achievements aimed at improving access to education, including the passage of Republic Act No. 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

Building on this, Go filed Senate Bill No. 1360, seeking to expand the reach of the tertiary education subsidy, providing students with more options to pursue courses that best suit their needs.
