SENATOR HONORS OUTSTANDING FILIPINO TEACHERS AT METROBANK FOUNDATION AWARDS
SENATOR Jinggoy Estrada on Wednesday hailed the exceptional contributions of this year’s Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos, placing a special spotlight on the ten distinguished awardees—particularly the educators who continue to inspire future generations through their service and integrity.
In sponsoring Senate Resolution No. 100, Estrada said that despite challenges such as corruption and mistrust in government institutions, the honorees stand as beacons of hope and role models for honest and dedicated public service.
Among those recognized were four teachers whose commitment to excellence in education has left a lasting impact on communities across the country:
Master Teacher Noel Sadinas of Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya
Engr. Amando Perfecto Molin of Los Baños, Laguna
Dr. Mylene Uy of Iligan City, Lanao del Norte
Dr. Angelo Mark Walag of Cagayan de Oro City
“These teachers embody the very best of our nation—educators who not only impart knowledge but also shape the values, character, and aspirations of young Filipinos,” Estrada said in his sponsorship speech.
He added that the honorees’ dedication reflects the selfless service of countless educators nationwide who continue to mold future leaders despite limited resources and challenges in the education system.
Estrada also noted the significance of the resolution’s number: “Nakakatuwang isipin na ang naibigay na number sa ating isinumiteng resolusyon ay 100—na tila nagbibigay ng perfect score at kudos sa ating mga awardees.”
The Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos is an annual recognition program for exemplary teachers, soldiers, and police officers who demonstrate excellence, competence, and integrity in their fields.
“As we honor these outstanding Filipinos, let us also be reminded of the vital role our teachers play in nation-building,” Estrada emphasized, vowing continued support for measures that promote the welfare of public servants.
