SENATE SPOUSES FOUNDATION BRINGS ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’ PROJECT TO AETA CHILDREN IN ZAMBALES

/ 30 June 2025

THE Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI) brought joy and support to Aeta schoolchildren in Barangay Aglao, San Marcelino, Zambales through its annual “Back to School” project.

About 200 children from the indigenous community received school supplies, food packs, vitamins, groceries, and rainy season essentials—just in time for the start of the new school year.

Leading the outreach were SSFI President Heart Evangelista-Escudero and Vice President Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, who personally visited the upland community at the foot of Mount Pinatubo. They were joined by Chesi Escudero, daughter of Senate President Francis Escudero.

“Alam po namin ang kahalagahan ng edukasyon sa bawat isa at sa ating lahat,” Evangelista-Escudero said, highlighting the power of education in uplifting communities.

She thanked local officials, teachers, and volunteers for their warm welcome and continued support.

“Thank you for giving the Senate Spouses Foundation this opportunity to visit and serve your community,” she added.

The “Back to School” project is a long-running SSFI initiative that aims to ease the financial burden on underprivileged families and provide children with the tools they need to succeed in school.

The heartfelt outreach in Zambales underscores SSFI’s ongoing commitment to education and community service. (Dang Samson-Garcia)
