THE SENATE Blue Ribbon Committee prepared a 197-pages committee report on the investigation on the procurement of the alleged overpriced and outdated laptops for public school teachers.

However, Senator Francis Tolentino, chairman of the Blue Ribbon Committee, refused to divulge the content of the report.

“I have here the 197 pages report, 197 pages all of these, but I couldn’t release that today. I lack one more signature,” he said during a press briefing.

Tolentino earlier promised to release the committee report before the Christmas break.

“Siguro po, before the Christmas break, we’ll have the committee report, and as we have done before, we will release the dispositive portion in advance,” Tolentino said.

He added that the panel will recommend to the Office of the Ombudsman to further investigate the deal and file charges against those who will be found accountable for wrongdoing.

The Senate is set to adjourn on December 17 and will resume sessions on January 22, 2023.
