SENATE OKAYS BILL ESTABLISHING PUP CAMPUS IN CAMANAVA
THE SENATE has passed on third and final reading a bill that seeks to establish a campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Caloocan City.
Caloocan 1st District Representative Dale “Along” Malapitan said that once enacted into law, the PUP-Caloocan City-North Campus Act will provide short-term technical-vocational, undergraduate, and graduate courses for students in Camanava.
Malapitan said that the establishment of the new campus will provide education for the needy.
PUP has more than 20 branches and campuses in Luzon. It has a population of more than 70,000 students.
