THE DEPARTMENT of Science and Technology’s Science Education Institute extended the application period for its 2022 Undergraduate Scholarships Program.

The SEI announced that the submission or uploading of documents will be until January 31, 2022.

“This means that interested applicants can only create their account in E-Application System until December 31, 2021 and only those with accounts can complete their application until the new deadline,” it said in an advisory.

To be qualified for the scholarship grant, applicants must be graduating Grade 12 students in School Year 2021-2022; must belong to a STEM class; must have academic ratings in Grades 9, 10, and 11; must be natural-born Filipino citizens and of good moral character.

Students who may have taken the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination but did not qualify or may have qualified for the SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award are also welcome to apply.

Non-STEM students who wish to apply must be in the top 5 percent of the graduating class.
