SCHOOLS DIVISION OF ILOCOS SUR HOLDS COLLABORATIVE PLANNING WORKSHOP
/ 19 November 2025
THE SCHOOLS Division of Ilocos Sur held a collaborative planning workshop on Quality-Assured and Accredited Professional Development Programs.
According to its post, the workshop was organized to strengthen the alignment of professional development programs with the requirements of the National Educators Academy of the Philippines and the Professional Regulation Commission—two bodies responsible for ensuring the relevance, rigor, and accreditation of PDPs for teachers and school leaders.
The workshop, held on November 17, also provided technical assistance for the development of high-quality PDP proposals.
Participants worked in groups to draft program designs that meet the Department of Education’s quality assurance indicators and PRC accreditation standards.
Common challenges in PDP submissions—such as documentation gaps, misalignment with competency needs, and insufficient evaluation mechanisms—were identified, along with corrective strategies to improve future proposals, the post added.
“The initiative reflects the division’s commitment to continuous improvement and supports DepEd’s broader thrust of ensuring that professional development for teachers and school leaders remains relevant, evidence-based, and capable of improving learning outcomes.
