TINIYAK ng Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations at ng Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges na hindi mawawala ang scholarships ng mga estudyante kahit pa nasa gitna ng pandemya ang bansa.

Sa House committee on higher and technical education hearing, sinabi ni COCOPEA Managing Director Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada na patuloy na makatatanggap ng scholarship ang mga estudyante.

“In general, we would say we are ensuring that the scholars are not deprived to continue with their benefits on scholarship because of the pandemic so it is adjusted,” pahayag niya.

Ganito rin ang ipinabatid ni PASUC President Tirso Ronquillo kung saan binigyang-diin niya na hindi niya hahayaang magsakripisyo ang mga bata dahil sa scholarships.

“We even review our submission of requirements, the way they should submit the requirements, we introduce utmost flexibilty and rest assured that our scholars will not be ‘penalized’ of this pandemic so we cater the scholars’ needs,” sabi ni Ronquillo.

Samantala, binigyang-diin naman ni Estrada na hindi maaaring matigil sa pag-aaral ang mga estudyante dahil sa kawalan ng scholarships.

“Hindi po puwedeng maging dahilan ‘yun para hindi sila makapag-continue. I’m referring to scholarships, mga inhouse scholarship grants and scholarship from the schools,” dagdag pa niya.
