STUDENTS with disabilities in San Juan City will receive cash assistance of P4,000 from the local government.
The city’s Person with Disability Affairs Office screened 300 PWD students from kinder to college who will receive the cash aid. SPED students from Kabayanan Elementary School and Pinaglabanan Elementary School were given priority.
The city allocated P1.2 million for this program.
Zamora announced that an additional P3,000 will be given to them next year.
He assured the parents and recipients of the city’s continued support for persons with disabilities.
Kung kailangan ng procedure, gamot, therapy, ‘wag kayong mag-atubiling lumapit dahil may nakalaang pondo tayo para dyan mula sa PDAO, Office of the Mayor at Public Assistance Center,” he said.
To claim the financial aid, students or parents of the students must present their PWD IDs with valid ID. Minor claimants or those who are 17 and below and those who cannot physically receive the cash aid can have their parents or relatives claim in behalf of them provided that they present an authorization letter and valid ID.
