ISINUSULONG ni Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Jane Elago ang resolusyon para sa pagpapalabas ng Sense of the House of Representatives laban sa red-tagging ng National Task Force to End the Local Communist Armed Conflict.

Nakasaad sa resolusyong inihain ni Elago ang paghimok sa Commission on Higher Education at Department of Education na agad na magpalabas ng direktiba na naglalayong ipatigil ang red-tagging campaign sa mga educational institution.

Ipinaliwanag ni Elago sa kanyang resolusyon na alinsunod sa Executive Order 70, binuo ang NTF-ELCAC na ginagamit ngayon ng pulis at militar upang gawing lehitimo ang kanilang presensiya sa mga paaralan sa pamamagitan ng mga seminar hinggil sa Campus Peace and Development at maging sa pakikipagtulungan sa National Service Training Program.

Gayunman, sa halip na peace and development, sinabi ni Elago na nakararating sa kanila ang impormasyon na ginagamit ang NSTP classes para sa red-tagging, slander at fabricated content na nagbabanta sa mga estudyanteng kaanib ng mga lehitimong youth at student organizations.

Tinukoy pa sa resolusyon ang red-tagging activities sa West Visayas State University, University of the Philippines Visayas, UP Los Banos, University of St. La Salle Integrated School sa Bacolod, University of Antique at Cavite State University.

Partikular ding pinangalanan si Elago, kasama ang iba pang youth leader, na tagasuporta ng rebeldeng grupo.

“In these instances, NTF-ELCAC officials commit grave misconduct when they claim that she is a communinst rebel and accuse the Kabataan of acting as a front organization for the Communist Party of the Philippines,” nakasaad sa resolusyon.

Pinuna rin sa resolusyon ang pakikiisa ng NTF-ELCAC sa CHED, Technical Education and Skills Development Administration at National Youth Commission sa pagbuo ng Supreme Student Council Society of the Philippines.

“NTF-ELCAC is a clear and present danger to academic freedom and the free exercise of civil, political and human rights within campuses,” binigyang-diin pa sa resolution.

Panawagan din sa resolusyon na kalampagin ng mga school authority at education stakeholder ang gobyerno upang ugatin at solusyunan ang armed conflict at buwagin  na ang NTF-ELCAC at ibigay na lang sa education at health sector ang P19.1 bilyong pondo nito.
