RED CROSS DEPLOYS FOOD TRUCK TO MARIKINA
THE PHILIPPINE Red Cross sent out its Hot Meals On Wheels to provide food to 300 individuals in Barangay Sto Niño, Marikina City over the weekend.
The meals were given to children, persons with disabilities, solo parents and senior citizens.
To date, the PRC food truck has provided hot meals to 112,428 individuals affected by Covid19.
The PRC has 28 food trucks stationed in key areas nationwide to hasten relief operations in times of disaster.
The Hot Meals on Wheels program started in 2005.
Aside from providing meals, the Red Cross Marikina Chapter also taught children how to do the proper hand washing.
