STUDENTS of the Quezon City University will no longer pay tuition after the school qualified for the free education law, Mayor Joy Belmonte said.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Belmonte said that the Commission on Higher Education recognized QCU and the students can now avail of its scholarship programs.

She added that city officials pushed for the free tuition to give the youth quality education.

The city government also launched a comprehensive scholarship program for its youth.

”Kung dati, ang mga nasa ‘top’ lamang ang nabibigyan ng scholarship, ngayon kahit sino puwede nang makakuha nito basta gustong makapag-aral,” Belmote said.
