PRC TO HOLD 101 LICENSURE EXAMS THIS YEAR
THE PROFESSIONAL Regulatory Board will conduct a total of 101 examinations this year to make up for the postponements last year.
In 2020, the PRC only held 11 examinations because of the pandemic. In comparison, there were 83 examinations in 2019.
“Because we only conducted about 11 exams last year compared to 83 examinations in 2019, we have scheduled 101 licensure examinations for 2021 to make up [for the losses last year],” PRC Chairman Teofilo Pilando said.
Professions related to the pandemic response will be prioritized, he added.
Strict implementation of health protocols will be observed. Examinees and examination personnel must take an RT-PCR test and undergo quarantine before the scheduled examination.
“We have also increased the number of examination venues so that examinees do not have to travel as much as possible and at the same time at the venue itself we lessen the capacity from the usual 24 examinees per room to eight to assure that social distancing will be followed,” Pilando said.
