SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go on Tuesday admitted that the alleged “position for sale” scam at the Department of Education is alarming.

The Philippine National Police arrested a DepEd employee allegedly involved in the scam early this week.

“Kung totoo man po ito, I condemn it, nakakabahala ‘yung scam involving sale of government position is also corruption. Huwag po nating hayaang lumusot po ito,” Go said.

“Alam n’yo ibigay po ang position sa gobyerno para sa mga qualified at deserving applicants. Hindi po binibili ang sa gobyerno,” he added.

The senator expressed confidence that Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte will investigate and resolve the issue.

“Knowing her firm, discipline and leadership, even when she was still the mayor of Davao City tiwala ako na hindi niya ito palalampasin,” Go said.
