INIREKOMENDA ni ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro na hugutin mula sa intelligence fund ng Pangulo ang pondo para sa dagdag na kompensasyon sa mga guro na magsisilbi sa 2022 elections

Iginiit ni Castro na panahon nang iangat ang kompensasyon sa mga guro na magsisilbi para sa poll-related services.

Sinabi ng kongresista na maaari itong kunin sa P10 bilyon na pondo ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict o sa P4.5 bilyon na intelligence fund ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

“Sa’min kasi tingin natin dito ay presidential pork, hindi naman ito na-e-explain o na-audit ng Commission on Audit that’s why sinabi natin it could be possible kung gusto ni President,” pahayag ni Castro.

Sa panawagan ng grupo, nais nilang dagdagan ng P3,000 ang honoraria ng mga guro na magsisilbi sa halalan dahil sa dagdag na oras sa serbisyo.

Una nang itinaas ng Commission on Elections sa P7,000 o dagdag na P1,000 ang honoraria ng Election Board chairman; P6,000 sa mga miyembro ng election board; P5,000 sa staff ng Department of Education; P3,000 sa support staff; at P3,000 sa medical personnel.

Bukod dito, nais din ng kongresista na magkaroon ng food at transportation allowance ang mga guro na obligadong dumalo sa mga training bago ang halalan.

“Before it was 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., now it would be 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and there will also be 1 day for testing and 1 day for sealing of the machine. There would be training, briefing required by Comelec to Board of Election Inspectors and other poll workers,” diin pa ni Castro.
