PNPA ALSO ADOPTS BLENDED TYPE OF LEARNING FOR CADETS
THE PHILIPPINE National Police Academy has also moved to the flexible blended type learning modality in adherence to the guidelines set by the Commission on Higher Education.
PNPA Director Maj. Gen. Gilbert Cruz said the academy made the transition as face-to-face classes with cadets are prohibited until a vaccine for Covid19 becomes available.
In connection with this, wide screen LED TVs and sound reinforcement systems were purchased and will be installed shortly in different learning areas along with the newly established internet connectivity inside the camp.
Despite the restrictions, Cruz does not prefer an offline learning scheme and still wants to ensure interactive education for the cadets through online platforms.
“I made it clear with the Dean of Academics to secure all professors’ alignment on this matter. Every lecturer must be virtually present during classes and all lessons shall be embedded in online modalities to make sure that interactions are achieved” the PNPA director said.
Cruz added cadets will show their abilities in adopting the new normal situation despite the massive changes and adjustments in the educational system caused by the present pandemic.
