PLASTIC barriers are no longer needed in classrooms, the Department of Education said on Wednesday.
Education Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan said that placing plastic barriers inside classrooms is not in the guidelines issued by the agency and the Department of Health.
“Ito pong tungkol sa plastic barriers, sa totoo ay wala po iyan sa ating joint guidelines,” he clarified.
He said that plastic barriers restrict the airflow.
The DepEd earlier said that some students have difficulty seeing and hearing what the teacher is saying.
More schools have started holding face-to-face classes as the Covid19 situation continues to improve.
