PHLPOST ISSUES SPECIAL STAMPS FOR UNIVERSITY OF PANGASINAN CENTENNIAL
THE Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has released a special set of commemorative stamps to celebrate the 100th founding anniversary of the University of Pangasinan, now known as PHINMA UPang.
The centennial stamps honor the institution’s century-long legacy of academic excellence and service since its establishment in 1925.
The limited-edition collection features four designs that highlight PHINMA UPang’s heritage, including a stylized illustration of its iconic building, the official university seal, and the 100th-anniversary logo.
The visuals reflect the school’s core values of truth, science, and virtue, underscoring its pivotal role in shaping generations of leaders and innovators in Northern Luzon.
Each set also comes with an official first-day cover that creatively traces PHINMA UPang’s transformative journey—from its humble beginnings in Dagupan City to becoming one of the region’s leading higher education institutions.
The stamps, produced using offset lithography with gold foil stamping for a distinctive finish, are now available in selected post offices nationwide. They are expected to be highly sought after by both alumni and philatelists.
Founded in 1925, the University of Pangasinan has consistently lived by its mission of improving lives through accessible, high-quality education that empowers students to succeed and give back to their communities.
