PH STUDENT CROWNED MISS ECO TEEN 2020
A STUDENT from the San Beda University was crowned Miss Eco Teen International today, December 6, in Egypt.
Roberta Angela ‘Ro-An’ Tamondong bested 35 other candidates in the pageant. She also won Best in National Costume in the finals.
The other winners were the candidates from South Africa, 1st runner-up; The Netherlands, 2nd runner-up; Egypt, 3rd runner-up; and Paraguay, 4th runner-up.
Standing 5’9, Tamondong previously competed in the Miss Bikini Philippines 2019, where she placed 1st runner-up. She also competed in several pageants such as the Binibining Quezon City 2019, CatWalk Philippines 2019, and Mutya ng San Pablo 2019. She was also declared Miss San Beda 2020.
The Philippine delegate impressed judges in the pre-pageant events, winning Best Eco Dress, 1st runner-up at the Beach Wear prime competition and 2nd runner-up in the talent competition.
Miss World International chose Tamondong as the country’s representative in November.
Miss World Philippines national president Arnold Vegafria said that Tamondong had a good chance of winning.
Miss Eco Teen pageant is the sister pageant of the Miss Eco International.
